What is the New Year’s Eve Ball @ the Congress Plaza Hotel?
We have been partying since 2004… it keeps getting better and better!
The Congress Plaza Hotel is one of Chicago’s most historic landmarks. At THE New Year's Eve Ball, you'll dance the night away with more than 3,000 fellow revelers under the musical stewardship of celebrity DJs that play throughout the multiple Congress Plaza Hotel ballrooms. With multiple bars and buffets, you'll spend less time waiting in line and more time on the dance floor.
What is the event time?
General Admission: 9:00pm – 2am (don't come earlier because you won't get in).
VIP / VIP Table guests: Event starts at 8:00pm – 2am
Do the hotel rooms include event tickets?
The hotel rooms do NOT include event tickets. We have setup discounted room rates for all of our guests at only $139/night (limited amount available). This is the best rate in the city! Dare to compare! If the rooms page says the hotel rooms are sold out or if you have any trouble booking the rooms, please e-mail us ASAP at info@newyearseveparty.com. We will try to get more rooms added.
Do the event ticket prices go up as we near the event?
Yes! As we get closer to the event, the pricing goes up. The earlier you buy, the more you will save!
What should I bring to the event?
Your New Year’s Eve Ticket @ the Congress Plaza Hotel Eventbrite ticket and a valid government-issued photo ID with date of birth. You can show the ticket on your phone or bring a print out of the PDF ticket. We recommend bringing a print out. We are not responsible if you cannot pull up your ticket on your phone due to technical issues.
What is the dress code?
We recommend men in suits and women in cocktail dresses. No boots, hats, jeans, etc.
Overall, we want everyone to dress nice. It's New Year’s Eve, so celebrate in style!
What if I bought tickets for someone else?
That’s nice of you! All you need to do is give them their e-ticket. We only let the first scan of the bar code in like a concert ticket. Keep your ticket safe. Do NOT purchase tickets on any 3rd party websites.
VERY IMPORTANT: You CANNOT check-in for someone else for this event. Each guest must check-in on their own.
May I transfer or give my ticket to another person if I can’t attend anymore?
All tickets are final sales & non-refundable. You can however give this ticket to anyone you like. See “What if I bought tickets for someone else?” above. Since this event is 21+, the attendees must be present at the door along with valid photo identification.
Note: Do not purchase a ticket from someone you don’t know.
Do GA tickets and/or VIP tickets have access to tables and seating?
For GA tickets, it is standing room only. VIP ticket holders get access to the shared seating area. If you are looking for reserved table for the night, we would suggest looking in to the VIP Table Packages. You may visit newyearseveparty.com/amenities.html for more details about the tickets.
If we purchased a Table Package, can only the table buyer come at registration?
Your entire party must be present at registration to enter event since you purchased a package.
What if I need a table package that is not on the ticketing website?
We can set something up for you – just shoot us an email to info@newyearseveparty.com and we will respond to you as soon as possible!
Can I upgrade my GA ticket to a VIP ticket?
Yes! To upgrade, just purchase VIP tickets on the ticketing page and then e-mail us your order confirmation # for your GA order. We'll go ahead and reverse that charge after verifying your VIP order within 48 hours of your e-mail.
Is there a coat check at this event?
Yes. Only bring a coat if you really need one. You will avoid coat check lines before the event begins and after the event ends. You will be able to take advantage of the NYE amenities for longer if you don't bring a coat. Coat check will be $3/coat.
